Show me the data!

Many people take my Simplify Communication training because it impacts trust, access, and inclusion. Some are motivated by data around efficiency and productivity.

I've heard many stories from people I've trained about how they're:

- Spending 80% less time reviewing applications that they simplified.

- Seeing higher response rates for newsletters, surveys, and more.

- Getting more people to attend events.

Here are more examples of how this can save time and money while building trust.

  • The Veterans Benefits Administration revised a single letter and tested it at a regional office. In one year, phone calls dropped from about 1,110 to about 200.*

  • The Washington Department of Revenue rewrote a letter that tripled the number of businesses paying a commonly ignored use tax.*

  • The Cleveland Clinic simplified a billing statement and recovered an additional $1 million a month in the months following, thanks to an 80% increase in patient payments.**

  • The Arizona Department of Revenue unclaimed property section received about 18,000 fewer phone calls a year after rewriting its letters. That has led to more time to do other work, and the division was able to process about 30,000 more claims.**

  • Simplifying communication led to a 55% higher compliance rate and a 50% reduction in customer errors on forms.**

  • According to brand strategy company Siegel+Gale, businesses waste $98 billion a year because of complexity in their messages.***

Getting ongoing training is a smart investment of time and a great way to gift your employees with lifelong skills that are relevant everywhere. And training is fun 😀. Contact me to discuss possibilities. Thanks!
